The Asa Oku L Stool by Meda Furniture is a simple yet elegant piece, crafted from solid ash wood and designed with both style and versatility in mind. Each stool is handmade in our workshop, showcasing the natural beauty of ash through a traditional wood-burning technique.
The carefully charred surface highlights the wood’s unique grain, creating a striking contrast of deep black tones and subtle natural shades. Available with either a carved seat for comfort or a flat top for versatility, this stool doubles as a functional seat or a small side table.
Built with traditional joinery techniques—without any metal screws—this stool combines strength, durability, and authentic craftsmanship. Its timeless design makes it perfect for Japandi, Scandinavian, rustic, or modern interiors, whether placed in the living room, bedroom, bathroom, or as an accent piece.

Color & Finish
The burned ash wood surface is charred by hand, enhancing the natural grain and giving each stool a one-of-a-kind character. Finished with natural oil for durability and a smooth, matte touch.
Care Instructions
Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth
Avoid excessive humidity, heat, or direct sunlight
For stains, use mild detergent and water, then dry immediately
Refresh occasionally with transparent wood oil; remove excess after absorption

Description
The attractive aged ash owns its original texture of wood, with the finish of natural oil and wax. Three tapered legs are specially designed to hold massive weight.
In Meda Workshop stools are without metal screws. We use joints, glue and wooden dowels.

Care
Care
Our stools have three different types of protection. Soft oil, bee wax, and hard oil. Keeping the stool dry would be a good idea to prevent the growth of mold.
Clean when needed with a soft cloth following the grain pattern, after removing the possible abrasive dust particles. Clean it periodically with a cloth. When properly treated ash patio furniture can survive the elements for years or even decades.
If the wood looks dry or whitish apply any commercial wood oil, better transparent. When applied the wood will absorb the quantity needed, retire the excess oil with a dry cloth within one hour.
Note that wood is an organic material and change of color and small cracks is possible with time.
