The Asa Oku L Stool by Meda Furniture is a refined and versatile piece, handcrafted from solid European ash wood. Each piece is made by hand in our workshop and finished with a carefully applied dark oil that gives the wood a contemporary, highly sought-after tone. This finish enhances the natural grain of the ash while creating a deep, elegant color with a smooth, matte surface. The result is a modern yet timeless look that fits effortlessly into Japandi, Scandinavian, rustic, and contemporary spaces.
The stool is built using traditional woodworking techniques, assembled entirely without metal screws. Wooden joints and dowels ensure strength, stability, and long-lasting durability while preserving the authenticity of handcrafted furniture. The solid ash structure is compact yet sturdy, making it easy to move and suitable for everyday use.
Asa Oku L can be placed in living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, or used as an accent piece wherever a functional and understated design element is needed. The dark oiled finish gives each stool subtle variations in tone and grain, making every piece unique.
For care, simply wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoiding prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, or direct sunlight. If the wood appears dry over time, refresh it with a natural wood oil and remove any excess after absorption.

Description
The attractive aged ash owns its original texture of wood, with the finish of natural oil and wax. Three tapered legs are specially designed to hold massive weight.
In Meda Workshop stools are without metal screws. We use joints, glue and wooden dowels.

Care
Care
Our stools have three different types of protection. Soft oil, bee wax, and hard oil. Keeping the stool dry would be a good idea to prevent the growth of mold.
Clean when needed with a soft cloth following the grain pattern, after removing the possible abrasive dust particles. Clean it periodically with a cloth. When properly treated ash patio furniture can survive the elements for years or even decades.
If the wood looks dry or whitish apply any commercial wood oil, better transparent. When applied the wood will absorb the quantity needed, retire the excess oil with a dry cloth within one hour.
Note that wood is an organic material and change of color and small cracks is possible with time.
