Kurumi Hira Set
A set of two handcrafted solid walnut stools with three legs, designed to be both functional and elegant. Versatile in use, they work beautifully as seating or as side tables, offering a refined balance between craftsmanship and timeless design.

The set includes two solid walnut stools with different heights: 30 cm and 45 cm. The tops are available in 30 cm or 35 cm diameter, allowing flexibility depending on space and use. Each piece is entirely handmade in our workshop, where contemporary design meets traditional woodworking techniques.

Thanks to their harmonious proportions, Kurumi Hira stools can also be used as side tables, bedside tables, or decorative accents, fitting naturally into both modern and rustic interiors.

Materials & Finish
We use only high-quality solid wood, finished with a blend of natural oil and wax that is resistant to wine, coffee, tea, beer, and water. This finish preserves the authentic texture of the wood, enhancing its natural grain and developing a warm patina over time.
The three turned legs provide excellent stability and strength. The entire structure is assembled without metal screws, using only traditional wooden joints and dowels.

Design
The design of the Kurumi Hira stools is inspired by mid-20th-century furniture, featuring clean lines, balanced proportions, and honest materials. Each piece is designed and handcrafted exclusively by the in-house designers of Meda Workshop, resulting in furniture that combines comfort, functionality, and timeless beauty.

Color & Care
The stools are made from European walnut, which is naturally lighter than American walnut, and treated with a walnut-toned oil to achieve a uniform color. For cleaning, use a soft cloth following the direction of the grain. Avoid direct exposure to heat or humidity. If the wood appears dry, apply a natural wood oil and remove any excess after about one hour.

We use only natural oil and wax and colors resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk, and water. The attractive aged wood owns its original texture, with the finish of natural oil and wax. Three tapered legs are specially designed to hold massive weight. In Meda Workshop stools are without metal screws. We use joints and wooden dowels.

Care

Clean when needed with a soft cloth following the grain pattern, after removing the possible abrasive dust particles. Clean it periodically with a moist cloth. Dry immediately with soft cloth following wood grains. Remove stains using water and soft cloth. The furniture should not be subjected to excessive humidity, heat or direct sunlight.
If the wood looks dry, apply any commercial wood oil, better transparent or natural whhite for oak. When applied the wood will absorb the quantity needed, retire the excess oil with a dry cloth within one hour.
