Oku Heimen is a handcrafted wooden stool made from carefully selected oak. The stool stands 30 cm high, with a seat diameter of 30 cm, making it a compact and practical piece of furniture. Each stool is crafted in our workshop with special attention to detail – the wood is treated to preserve its natural texture, and the finish of natural oil and wax adds warmth and protection without the use of synthetic varnishes.
Its three solid, tapered legs provide stability, allowing the stool to support significant weight despite its small size. At Meda Workshop, we don’t use metal screws in our stools – instead, we rely on traditional woodworking joints and wooden dowels, ensuring durability and aesthetic purity.
Thanks to its size and simple, minimalist design, the Oku Heimen M30 can be used as:
-
An extra seat in the living room
-
A bedside or armchair side table
-
A plant stand
-
A practical stool for putting on shoes in the hallway
Its natural oak color and clean lines blend effortlessly with a variety of interior styles – from modern and Scandinavian to rustic and traditional.

Care
Care
Clean when needed with a soft cloth following the grain pattern, after removing the possible abrasive dust particles. Clean it periodically with a moist cloth. Dry immediately with soft cloth following wood grains. Remove stains using a mild mixture of water and detergent. The furniture should not be subjected to excessive humidity, heat or direct sunlight.
If the wood looks dry or whitish apply any commercial wood oil, better transparent or natural white color oil for oak. When applied the wood will absorb the quantity needed, retire the excess oil with a dry cloth within some hours.
